Sloquet Hot Springs is a spring south east of both Skookumchuck Hot Springs aka Saint Agnes Well or T'sek Hot Spring and the First Nations community of Skatin, and 102 km South East of Pemberton, British Columbia. This natural springs is made up of several small pools in a wooded wilderness venue. A magical little water fall of near boiling hot water flows out of the steep vertical bank of Sloquet Creek and flows into two petite, two man pools, and down stream is the larger but shallow lower "pool" like a typical creek bed but hot. The waters of the upper two pools and the water fall may be too hot for bathing. Use extreme caution. Supernatant liquid is a layer of light pure cool water that can float on top of the denser hot mineral-rich hot springs outflow. Don't test by dipping toes or fingers into the upper pools. The hot fluids below may be hot enough to scald and make second and third degree burns. Before jumping in test the temperature. Dip with a bottle on a lanyard or long handled pot. The third big pool down the creek bed is usually in the "Goldilocks Zone" and just right. Adjacent glacier fed river provides opportunity for Roman or Turkish style Bathing, of alternating hot & cold dips. On site wilderness campsite, at end of road, near parking area, about 4 blocks / 400 meters from hot springs. ==References== http://www.sitesandtrailsbc.ca/search/search-result.aspx?site=REC0023&type=Site https://planetrenee.wordpress.com/2014/05/15/sloquet-hot-springs-and-camping/ http://www.bivouac.com/FtrPg.asp?
